Brooklyn, NYC | 550 Vanderbilt | Pied-À-Terre

In the middle of a pandemic, I decorated this empty Brooklyn pied-à-terre while the clients stayed safely offsite from showrooms and their rental until it was move-in ready. Since it’s an urban home base, I brought in cleaner-lined, contemporary furnishings to provide a fresh design perspective from their traditional Connecticut farmhouse (where we are currently refreshing the guest quarters). The clients are world travellers with great souvenirs so I enjoyed hand-picking from their art and collectibles, featuring three Robert Rauschenbergs. Efficient use of space allows ample room to relax and enjoy the view while low-maintenance finishes mean weekend visits are easy with their growing family.
