This worldly couple sought to spruce up their 2-bedroom pied-à-terre and make it just as inviting as their Connecticut home. We painted, installed new carpeting, custom curtains, & handmade wallpapers, reupholstered some existing furniture and simplified the floorplans & artwork displays to refresh the spaces. In the master bedroom, we disguised an awkward ceiling soffit over the bed with cloud-like swags of linen and added a minimalist tree branch wallpaper to complete the look. We also customized the client’s tall, vintage Korean chest into a wide dresser with a new upholstered & glass top and a hand-papered TV cabinet above. The guest bath got a mini-makeover with new lighting & storage plus partial new tiles to hold it over. With a little organization of closet storage and their stunning views of the Chrysler Building, this makeover is complete. But now they feel the kitchen is a bit dated…….stay tuned!
