Syosset, NY | The Mews | Townhouse
When the master bathroom and the kitchen become dated, a whole house can feel tired. We gut renovated the bath to install fresh grey & white marble herringbone tile accented by ceramic subway tiles and a leafy glass mosaic. I took better advantage of an awkward space at the foot of the tub with cleverly constructed floor-to-ceiling storage - it provides a shampoo niche on the shower side and conceals toiletries from the cabinet side. The new glass shower door opens up the room while a marble-topped vanity and improved lights polish off the new style. In the kitchen, the owners wanted to keep their cabinetry & floors but upgraded to granite countertops, a travertine tile backsplash, and a more modern faucet & sink. The eat-in area was refreshed with a textured, geometric wallpaper and simple curtains plus a mirror and shelving to display cookbooks.
